HYSOL Project and the final review meeting in Brussels

On 26th September, HYSOL Project consortium partners met in Brussels to discuss the work carried out during the second and final period of the project and the future of the HYSOL concept. On this occasion, the HYSOL Project team also met with our Project Officer from the European Commission and our independent Expert Reviewer, to undergo its second and final project review meeting.

A further step in the development of solar thermal power plants

A further step in the development of solar thermal power plants

The European HYSOL project, developed over the last three years in the solar thermal plant Manchasol (Ciudad Real, Spain), has been successfully completed, demonstrating that hybridisation of CSP with other energy sources (renewable and fossil) ensures power supply to the power grid in a stable and firm way, regardless the weather conditions.

Final event for the HYSOL project: innovative configuration of a fully renewable hybrid CSP plant

On 22 June, the project HYSOL was presented at the Manchasol concentrating solar power facilities that Cobra T&I has in Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real).

Hybridization of solar-thermal technology with other energy sources Workshop


Within the framework of the sixth International Conference on Information Technology in Renewable Energies, a “Workshop hybridization of solar-thermal technology with other energy sources” will be held.

The Conference will take place between 23 and 26 May at the ETSIT of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) in Madrid.

The HYSOL project enters the demonstration stage

Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) has published a new press release advancing details of HYSOL project, now entering the demonstration phase to test the technical, economic and environmental advantages of solar hybridization with fossil and renewable fuels.

The 11th of February, the review meeting for the first period of HYSOL project was held in Madrid, with the attendance of Mr Marcelino Sánchez from CENER as reviewer of the project, Mr Piero de Bonis as EC Project Officer, and some representatives of all the partners.

During this meeting, the first period progress of the project was discussed. As a conclusion, all the intermediate objectives have been reached as planned:
